MOVE Reference Manual
The MOVE (Mobility Opportunities Via Education/Experience) Program is designed to help individuals with severe disabilities learn the skills needed to sit, stand, walk and transition. Included is a “Top-Down Motor Milestone Test®, an explanation of physical prompts and how to systematically decrease them for more independent movement. Goals can easily be incorporated into the IEP (Individual Education Plan) or any other plan. The MOVE Program is infused into the individuals’ typical day and instruction is centered around functional activities. (Available in Spanish.)
MOVE Assessment Profile
The MOVE™ Assessment Profile is a data collection booklet used to monitor progress in the MOVE Program. Decisions regarding each step of the MOVE Program are recorded in the individual’s profile, making record keeping permanent and easy. The Profile includes the “Top-Down Motor Milestone Test”, Summary of Test Results page and several pages to document Prompt Plans. This is meant to be used in conjunction with the MOVE Reference Manual. (Available in Spanish.)
