Description of Site:
The Sacramento County Office of Education’s (SCOE’s) MOVE program is based on implementing the MOVE Program Model countywide. SCOE has utilized the MOVE program model for many years as an approved curriculum for students with severe physical disabilities. Over the last 4 years, SCOE has deepened its implementation of the model by designating several teams/classes as demonstration and training sites. SCOE is launching its MOVE Model site by highlighting 4 classes/teams that demonstrate different exemplary practices and variations on implementation of the MOVE Model within inclusive, integrated, and community based settings.

Dry Creek Elementary, 1230 G Street, Rio Linda - This site includes 4 classrooms for students with severe disabilities at an elementary school site.
Northview Head Start, 2401Northview Drive, Sacramento -This site is a Head Start site in which children with significant disabilities are fully included in preschool activities.
Florence Markofer Elementary School, 9759 Tralee Way, Elk Grove - This site houses an inclusive preschool program and an elementary special education class.
Prairie Elementary School, 5251 Valley Hi Drive, Sacramento - At this site, there are 2 elementary special education classes and an inclusive preschool program.

Other notes of interest:
The Sacramento County Office of Education is a public school which supports students at multiple school sites and in a variety of models. Students are between the ages and 3 and 21 years and have significant needs. Preschool students are included in typical preschool classrooms and the preschool program has been selected as a demonstration site for exemplary inclusive practices through SEEDS (Supporting Early Education Delivery Systems.)

Directions

Directions to Dry Creek Elementary:
From I-80 East, take exit 91 Right (Raley Boulevard exit). Turn left onto Raley Boulevard and continue north for approximately 2.6 miles; the name of the street will change to 16th Street as you enter Rio Linda. Turn left (west) onto G Street, and go 0.4 miles. Dry Creek Elementary is on your left. Please enter the 2nd driveway. Dry Creek West is the building on the far west side of the parking lot at the corner of G Street and Dry Creek Road.
Directions to Northview Preschool:
From Interstate 5 North, take the W. El Camino exit to the right (east) approx. 1.8 miles. Turn right (south) onto Northview Drive (0.1 mi.) Northview Preschool is on the right.
Directions to Markofer Preschool:
From Highway 50, take State Route/Highway 99 South and go south for 11.1 miles. Take the Elk Grove Boulevard exit and head east for 1.0 mile. Turn right (south) onto Elk Grove Florin Road, and proceed 0.6 mile. Turn left onto Tralee Way and proceed 0.1 mile to the school. Please use the driveway on your immediate left, and proceed around to the rear of the school.
Directions to Prairie Elementary:
From Highway 50, take State Route-99 South and go south for 7.3 miles. Take the Bruceville Road/Mack Road East exit, and go 0.3 miles. Turn right (west) onto Bruceville Road, and go 0.3 miles. Turn left (south) onto Valley Hi Drive, and proceed 1.1 miles. Prairie Elementary will be on your right. Prairie West is on the west side of the parking lot.
