Model Sites

What is a MOVE Model Site?

A MOVE Model Site is simply an example of the MOVE Program in operation. Parents, teachers, therapists, administrators or anyone else can visit a MOVE Model Site and observe the students/clients in the MOVE program, talk to staff and ask questions, and learn how to introduce the MOVE program in their own area. (Of course, the MOVE Program is in operation at many more schools and other sites throughout the United States and world.)

The below list is comprised mainly of MOVE programs operating in school settings with school-aged children. However, the MOVE program is expanding into the adult population and Chesapeake Care Resources (listed below) in North East, Maryland is operating a MOVE for Adults program.

Where can I Visit a MOVE Model Site?

MOVE Model Sites are located in the following states and in New Zealand. (For MOVE Model Sites in Europe, contact move@disabilitypartnership.co.uk.) These sites are eager to host visitors. However, appointments for a visit must be made in advance with the contact person for the site. For directions and additional information about the site, please “click on” to the specific model site.
